Main responsibilities:
Hostesses greet guests as they arrive and take them to thier seats. They also takes around the buffet & explain specials.
The hostess schedules dining reservations for guest in advance and as they arrive at the restaurant.
Hostesses often have to make decisions about where a group will sit in the restaurant
Promotes additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell, in a manner that is professional and courteous.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of food and beverage menus, to be able to advise guests on selection and promote additional sales accordingly.
Ensures that the working area and station are stocked with "mise-en-placeā and kept clean and tidy at all times.
