We are looking for a Salon Incharge/Senior Hair Stylist for a renowned hotel in Dubai.
Nationality: Lebanese/Syrian/Tunisian (preferable)
Gender: Male/Female
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Salary: Basic + Target based Incentive + Accommodation
Specifications:
• Pleasant personality and well groomed
• High School with good English – written and oral
• Able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime as required
• Initiative, ability to work unsupervised, responsible, reliable, honest, diplomatic, self motivated
Skills Required:
• Thorough knowledge of hair styles, hair care products and related procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Physical mobility, able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Preferred training or certification from hair styling or cosmetology school
• Complaints handling
• Well developed social skills
Work Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hair Stylist.
• Previous experience in five star salon preferable
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs hair style consultation in order to decide what services the client needs
• Provides services to clients such as shampooing, cutting, styling, coloring and highlighting as desired
• Maintains safety standards and cleanliness
• Emphasizes product benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products or services for their hair care needs
• Maintains a consistent relationship with client base in order to ensure return clients
• Proactively develop new customers
• Attends and participates in continuing education and training in order to follow new trends and techniques
• To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the salon area
• To achieve maximum sales and guest satisfaction and to adhere to the highest standard of service/client attention required by the hotel
Financial:
• To contribute to the spa/salon sales
Operational:
• To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Flora group of hotels standard of performance
• To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of work to the standard set. Please note that Tasks are reviewed and changed on a regular basis reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies
• To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Rooms Division or any other department of the hotel assigned
• To perform all duties and tasks when rotated or assigned to another Department task required for that department
• To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel
• To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work assigned
• To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the product
• To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times
• To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage
• Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests
• Realize that his/her primary role is to be of service to the guest and that their needs and safety comes first
• Must impart correct information and advise the guest on the various services/activities in the center
• Must keep all areas clean at all times
• Must escort guests to the salon
• Must be attentive and alert for any signs from the guest
• Must change linen used after every treatment and reset the station for next treatment
• Should be neat & clean (nails must be kept short)
• Must adhere to appointment timings
• Must be able to advise the guest on the benefits of the treatments & services
• Perform any job related duties and functions as directed
General:
• To understand and strictly adhere to the rules & Regulations established in the Employees handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety
• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag at all times
• To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the Place of Work and all other departments
• To attend and contribute to all staff meetings, Departmental and Hotel trainings scheduled and other related activities
• To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Spa Manager and Team Leader
• To respond to any changes in the work place function as dictated by the hotel
