We are currently searching for Financial Controllers to join our growing team! This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the ship's overall financial reporting including, but not limited to, cash, credit card transactions, inventory, phone cards, money orders, wire transfer systems, and payroll. The financial controller must fully understand financial controls procedures for all positions having control over company asset and audit each area according to procedures and will oversee several Pursers and the Night Auditor. Potential candidates must have relevant experience in supporting all financial accounting of a four or five star resort, hotel or cruise line.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the financial accounting aspects of all shipboard activities
Track, monitor and reconcile all cash and credit card transactions and prepares a variety of financial reports
Monitor and supervise the job performance of Pursers and Night Auditor
Mentor, develop and provide on-the-job training to Pursers and Night Auditor
Qualifications
Hiring Requirements:
Minimum of two years experience in an upscale hotel, resort or cruise ship
Superior customer service, team building and conflict resolution skills
Very strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment
Very strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills
Intermediate computer software skills required
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles such as number flow "Debits/Credits", adjusting and
correcting entries
Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in life saving drills and training
Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly
All international applicants must have the ability to acquire a C1D visa
