TAIPEI, TAIWAN (February 2012) - From 3 to 11 February, 2012, Grand Hyatt Taipei invites you to fly over the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy the authentic Italian cuisine presented by guest Chef Massimo Strobino at Ziga Zaga. Guest Chef Massimo has many years of experience working for three-star Michelin restaurant Hotel de Paris Le Louis XV, Monte Carlo Monaco and several high-end luxury hotels in Italy and France and will be visiting Ziga Zaga to bring his unique signature dishes to Taipei.

Chef Massimo, has over 20 years of cooking experience and currently runs a restaurant and hotel, Hotel Miramare, situated by the beautiful Liguria Sea. He inherited the love of food from his family. Four years ago, he started changing the hotel he owns into a ‘’speakeasy style’’ which offers meals without a regular menu, and all depends on the fresh ingredients he was able to source at the markets, then he creates the dishes for the customers to their preferences to give the customers the best possible taste and experience. Chef Massimo provides dinners for just 20 people per night, and with the changing menu every week, it makes the customers feel special, and important.
Chef Massimo has worked for many high-end luxury hotels in Italy, France, and Monaco, hence his cuisine is influenced by many different Michelin-star chefs and restaurants, such as three-star Michelin Chef Alain Ducasse at Hotel de Paris Le Louis XV, "Chef of the Century" and three-star Michelin Chef Joel Robuchon in Paris, famous two-star Michelin Chef Bruno Cirino at Hostellerie Jerome La Turbie and Chef Joel Garault at one-star Michelin-rated Hotel Hermitage. With accumulating all his experience, Chef Massimo has created his own style of working. He enjoys purchasing the ingredients personally, and he can always learn about the quality and freshness of the food by talking to fishermen and farmers. He uses the freshest and the best quality ingredients in his cooking as he believes the most beautiful cuisine is made by letting the natural food speak for itself.
From 3 to 11 February, Chef Massimo will present his signature dishes at Ziga Zaga, Grand Hyatt Taipei. Come and sample the Italian delicacies with us, with dishes like Fennel-orange Salad with Bottarga and Parsley, Warm Octopus-potato Salad Liguria-style, Warm Broccoli Flan and Bagnacauda Sauce, Warm Salt Cod-potato Brandade with Marinated Peppers, Gnocchi alla Romana with Tomato Compote, Roast Chicken Breast with Pork Stuffing, Onions and Carrots, Cooked Milk Rice with Vanilla Ice Cream, and many more.
Also, do not miss the specially designed wine dinner on 10 February. ‘’A night with Chef Massimo at Ziga Zaga,’’ as Chef Massimo will design a special menu pairing with selected Italian wines just for this evening, what’s more, he will come out from the kitchen and mingle with guest so diners will have a chance to experience the truly Italian atmosphere. This dinner is just NT$3,400 per person and advanced reservations are required, due to limited seats.
The A La Carte menu items vary from NT$320 to NT$1,080 while a set dinner menu is priced at NT$2,000 per person.
