Accor appoints new Director of Sales and Marketing for World Trade Centre complex
Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Dubai is delighted to announce the appointment of Christopher McFall as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Leading a team of 20, McFall will be directly in charge of sales, marketing, public relations and reservation functions for both hotels with a combined 622 rooms.
McFall moved to Dubai from his position as Director of Sales for Guoman's 4 star Charing Cross and Grosvenor hotels where he was responsible for all aspects of sales and business development. Prior to this McFall spent over four years as a Director of Sales with Park Plaza hotels, beginning at the Victoria Park Plaza where he oversaw the sales function and was responsible for turning the hotel into the leader in the local market. He was then moved to open their 398 bedroom flagship hotel at County Hall, London where he managed all pre and post opening sales & marketing activity, resulting in the hotel achieving record results in year 1. McFall then took on Park Plaza Hotel's MICE sales operation for the UK region where he successfully managed the reorganization of the regional team supported the delivery of targets across the portfolio.
Prior to working in Sales & Marketing, McFall gained operational experience in Food & Beverage and Rooms in Thailand with Meridien, South Africa with Intercontinental Hotels and Hilton Hotels in the Unites States.
McFall graduated with honours from the SHA Hotel Management School Les Roches, Switzerland with a Bachelors degree in International Hospitality Management.
McFall is also the winner of the young achievers - Caterer & Hotelkeeper Acorn Award 2007 and for taking the TTG Best Supplier Sales Team 2008 at the Business Travel Awards.
