Certo gets new Italian Chef; Matteo Bertuletti to take reins of Italian cuisine at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City
Dubai April 2010: Pasquale Baiguera, General Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City confirmed the appointment of Matteo Bertuletti as new Italian Chef for Certo, the trendy restaurant at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City well-known for its antipasti, homemade pastas and a unique selection of pizzas from a traditional wood-fired oven.
Baiguera said on the new appointment “Matteo is the alumni of Italy’s best restoration and tourism school with experience in food preparation and kitchen management. His experience spans Europe, with familiarity of Italian and British cuisines.”
He mentioned that the former Chef de Partie of Soho Hotel, London has excellent kitchen management skills.
Matteo’s role as Certo’s Chef is to plan, organise, control and direct the work of the team in this culinary department, while ensuring superior quality and consistency.
“I am also responsible for training, assessing, leading, motivating and coaching our team of chefs and kitchen stewards to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met,” said Matteo.
Certo’s kitchen features a wide selection of fine olive oils, while the six-metre tall special storage tower is an impressive focal point, housing 500 vineyard selections from around the world.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City is located in the heart of the emirate's emerging regional technology and communications hub and offers 246 rooms, including five suites, designed in a contemporary style. The hotel offers several food & beverage outlets, 12 meeting rooms and Senso Wellness Centre with five themed massage and two outdoor pools.
