Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira appoints new Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Dubai

Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira recently welcomed Raffi Torikian to its ranks as its new Area Director of Sales and Marketing. While Mr Torikian will be based at the Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira hotel, his role will also include overseeing and supporting the sales and marketing teams at the Holiday Inn Sharjah, the Holiday Inn Dubai Downtown and the Holiday Inn Dubai Embassy District.

Mr Torikian began his career with IHG in 2001 at the InterContinental Le Vendome Beirut, Lebanon, from which time he has steadily progressed through various roles within the IHG group.  

Delighted to accept the new position, he is looking forward to the new opportunities ahead.

The experienced hotelier was promoted to the new role after completing a successful tenure with Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites Abu Dhabi Yas Island as Director of Sales and Marketing.

No stranger to development projects, Mr Torikian played a key role in the hotels’ pre-opening team from March 2009. During this period, he successfully opened the two Abu Dhabi Yas Island properties. This expertise will prove useful in his newest role, with the Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira’s renovation project that is well underway.
