Crowne Plaza Dubai - Deira proudly announces the appointments of the key players of their Management Team
Bill Sheppard is appointed as the General Manager and Bruno Fischer, the Executive Assistant Manager.
Sheppard, an Australian and Swiss dual-national has been with IHG since 2003 and is a consistent award winning General Manager during his assignments, having won the Best InterContinental Hotel in Asia Pacific as well as the prestigious InterContinental Hotel General Manager of the Year for the InterContinental Wellington, New Zealand. A seasoned hotelier, Sheppard has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry having worked for major global brands such as Marriott and Hilton. His career has taken him across the globe including, amongst others, assignments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United States, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and most recently Egypt.
Asked about his goal for the Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira, Sheppard says, “My goal is to successfully drive owner return and all elements of service delivery to leverage the hotel’s room’s refurbishment due for completion at the end of 2012 as well as to support the team in driving a new Food and Beverage experience. For our associates, it is to facilitate the full integration of the hotel into the IHG organisation and demonstrate the value to our hotel team members of being part of the Crowne Plaza Brand family.”
Bill Sheppard is also the Director of Operations - Dubai. He also has in his area of responsibility the Crowne Plaza Dubai, Holiday Inn Dubai – Downtown, Holiday Inn Sharjah and the Holiday Inn Bur Dubai – Embassy District.
He is an avid skier and is passionate about underwater photography.
Bruno Fischer is appointed as Executive Assistant Manager of Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira. He is a German national, with over 18 years of hotel experience, 11 years within InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). Prior to his assignment in Dubai, he was the Resident Manager of Crowne Plaza Hotel Bahrain, Director of Rooms at the InterContinental Hotel Abu Dhabi and Front Office Manager at the Al Bustan Palace in Oman.
