Goetsch new director of operations at W Doha

DOHA: W Doha Hotel & Residences has announced the appointment of Roman Goetsch as the new Director of Operations for the hotel.

Goetsch brings a wealth of experience to his new position with W Doha. He has almost 17 years of management and consultancy experience in the hotel and hospitality industries, and during his career has worked in a variety of locations including, most recently, Turkey, Jordan and Tunisia.

He comes to Doha from W Istanbul, Turkey, where he was General Manager of W’s 134-room luxury boutique hotel with award-winnning signature restaurants and bar, day spa and meeting facilities.

As General Manager of W Istanbul, Goetsch’s role had a strong focus on sales and marketing, particularly in the luxury leisure segment. Goetsch is also member of Starwood’s Regional and Divisional Food & Beverage Council.
