NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF AT YAS VICEROY
Yas Viceroy appoints Michel Jost as Executive Chef
2nd November 2011. Yas Viceroy is delighted to announce the appointment of Michel Jost as Executive Chef, overseeing the culinary vision of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings.
Jost began his career with an apprenticeship at the Culinary School of Geneva and at the Intercontinental Hotel Geneva before assuming the position of Cook at Gerdy’s, a privately owned restaurant in Mallorca, Spain. In 1986 Michel was appointed Chef de Partie at The Cascades Hotel in South Africa.
Moving onto Continental Hotel Lausanne, Switzerland as Chef de Partie Saucier he then returned to South Africa to hold positions at Southern Sun, Sun International and Royal Swazi Sun.
More recently, Jost was Executive Chef at Hyatt International La Manga & Las Lomas, Spain, Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki Regency Casino Thessaloniki, Greece and Complex Executive Chef at Astir Palace in Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece.
Reflecting on his appointment, Chef Jost commented:
