OLAF EMAN - General Manager “The Elephant Corridor” The Lifestyle Retreat

Olaf Jules Gustav Eman recently taken over ( 1st of October 2011) The General Manager of Elephant Corridor one of the Prestigious Boutique Lifestyle Retreat in Sri Lanka, whom commissioned by Willemsen Hospitality Holding of Netherlands www.willemsen-hospitality.com owned by Mr. Sander Willemsen.

Mr. EMAN currently a Consultant Director of Operations of Willemsen Hospitality Holding while acting as General Manager until Elephant Corridor implementation of the SOP and find a suitable candidate to run its own. Mr. Eman has successful track record in Cruise & Hotel / Turn around Management specialist in Europe, such as Hilton Hotels, Ramada Hotels, Golden Tulip Hotels, Bilderberg Hotels, Scandic Crown Hotels, Red Carnation Hotels  and in Cruise line such as ; Grand Circle Cruise Line, Gsell & Partner (Avalon Cruises) , Uniworld Cruises USA , WT Cruises, 
Olaf Eman, is Dutch Burger and is from Indonesian origin multi lingual with German, Dutch,  Spanish, French as well the Malay and married having two Children, grew up in the Hospitality Business and was graduated at the Hotel Management school in Dortmund. As youngster Mr. Eman migrated to Germany accompanying his parents, Due to family business Mr. Eman stayed further on and finished his education in Germany.

Since Mr. Eman has tremendous experience in the Hotel and Cruise Business and worked in several Corporate Hotel Management positions decided to obtain further 1 step by In 2007 went to the International Butler Academy and graduated with diploma "Distinction" and became Executive member of the Butler Guide.

Eman said “When I arrived in Sri Lanka it was august 2011, travelling the road from Colombo city to Sigirya to a place where stress meets tranquillity, is an escape from the everyday live. Sunrise had caught up with me by the time I had reached the hotel.  The nature of Sigirya is a home to a variety of plant and animal species including birds, elephants and many more which amazed me of the beauty, and I am delighted to work at Elephant Corridor, and its not a Hotel, but a LIFESTYLE REATREAT”

Eman Says, after we entered back to the market, the demand is so high and promising from tour operators, we have recommended the owners “ SIERRA HOLDINGS” to increase number of units by 24 more to have 48 suites as inventory to meet the market needs.

“Also says Eman, the hotel is already turned around with modern technology with WIFI, IPOD Station, LED TV., and etc. , and in a short period of time, Tablet PC will be provided to the clients whom need for their use. Also the room service order will be taken by the Tablet PC with the full presentation of the each dishes pictures and ingredients for better understanding and satisfaction, and also for prompt service. Currently we face a serious problem when house is full, since currently 22 suites , and most of all  want to have their Special BBQ meals in their room, so its 22 restaurants at the end of the day, so its a big challenge and We have engineered the menu based on NON PORK meals and more focus on Lights Dishes with Fresh Local seasonal Ingredients, which will attract even Middle East clients with no hesitation to have their meals since its HALAL ”

The Training concept for our staff at Elephant Corridor Hotel will focus on the personalized service inspired from the Butler service.  We will ensure that our hotel guests will receive a Royal welcome.  The protocol training of our staff will assure high class service standard.
