The Sheraton Miramar Resort appoints Ko Van Den Hil as General Manager

Starwood Hotels and Resorts has appointed a new key executive for the Sheraton Miramar Resort, an stunning oasis for holidaymakers seeking peace and tranquility at the Red Sea, El Gouna. Ko Van den Hil, a noted community leader and veteran of Starwood, has been named General Manager.

Ko Van den Hil has 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined Starwood in 2001 as the Financial Controller for the Sheraton Luxembourg Aero golf Hotel. He went on to successfully serve as Director of Finance, Complex Director of Finance and Hotel Manager for additional Starwood properties. Ko Van den Hil has his finger on the pulse of El Gouna as he most recently held the General Manager position for the Sheraton Miramar Resort.

Van den Hil leads an integrated team, charged with the successful MENA Middle East North Africa Travel Awards, Platinum Award for Best Environmental 5* Hotel 2009, Travelife Gold Award for sustainability in tourism 2008-2010, Thomas Cook Marque of Excellence Award - 2008, Green Star Hotel - 5* Award for sustainability in tourism 2008-2010, Green Globe Gold Certification 2008 and Holiday Check awards 2005 - 2009.

Ko Van den Hil grew up in Netherlands and his passion for the hospitality business started at a young age during annual international trips.
