Am an F&B professional, with years of international experience, now settled in Egypt. I have worked my way up the ladder, where my last position was Independent Retail Manager of a bar/restaurant. I was tied to the brewery for product availability, but the day to day running and all responsibility from a legal and H&S standpoint were mine, so effectively my own business.
I consider myself a troubleshooter, as when I took over the bar it was losing the brewery 60k a year, and was able within two years to making 80k profit.
Having worked in both everyday bars, and 5 star properties, yes the style is different, the expectations from the customers are different, but the passion for excellent service is the same. Having worked in multinational hotelsz and having worked in Europe and the US, I can say I can easily work with people from a very diverse and international background.
Now in Egypt, am looking to continue my F&B career in a well established property, or if a new different challenge presents itself, I am open to new experiences and ideas

This was my introduction to Management, in a totally different setting than the 4/5 Star hotels I previously worked in. It gave me a good idea of working in a dynamic, and very fast paced service environment, and allowed me to develop my troubleshooting and quick problem solving skills. Having been lucky to work at one of the busiest and most profitable bars in the company of over 1000 bars, I was able to develop my skills in working in a team, whilst also being responsible for the team, and the smooth running of the operation2003 - 2005 (2 Years)
