With eccentric, eye-catching interiors – think neon lights and bright greenery, Baofriend’s menu is very much in-line with the décor. Diners can expect food that is exciting and combines classic flavour combinations with fun, modern twists. Comprising a more refined version of Asian food truck favourites with a heavy emphasis on baos, the menu at Baofriend offers breakfast, bao, small plates, maki, bowls and desserts.
Guests can expect highlights like shakshuka bao, Baofriend matcha pancakes, and smashed avocado and nori toastie for breakfast, while the bao selection includes a wide range of options such as miso eggplant bao, garlic miso braised short rib, 7 spice pulled chicken, and coconut crusted jumbo prawn, plus more.
For mains, find tempting dishes like the katsu baoger, ramen kimchi, Thai red curry, and wok fried udon, before finishing on a sweet note with desserts such as a steamed bao sundae with honeycomb, miso caramel sauce and dark chocolate, or the caramelized pashmak bao with pistachio halva mousse, pomegranate and rose water.
