We are looking for a hard-working Steward to be responsible for ensuring that all sanitation standards are met at all times. Maintain the kitche\'s cleanliness and well organized. To be successful as a Steward, you should be committed to working hard, and have the physical stamina to be on your feet and moving for the duration of your shifts. You should be friendly and helpful to customers and have strong team working skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to the company health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) policy and procedures.
Ensures that all Kitchen Cleaning and Janitorial is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, upholding the company standard.
Ensures manual handling and chemical handling protocols are followed at all times
Ensures uniform is clean and personal hygiene requirements are maintained
Identifies and reports hazards, risks and incidents to the Executive Steward
Reports any faults about the equipment to the Executive Steward
Operates all tools and equipment, following the relevant protocol and wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Follows apply usage of chemicals, energy and water efficiently to maximize output
Follows quality improvement team to increase efficiency, reduce wastage and streamline stewarding processes.
Arranges adequate and appropriate equipment for projected Food Service needs.
Ensures that equipment is replaced in the correct areas after usage.
Proper handling of equipment
Assist in any other functions / areas as informed by Executive Steward.
Organizes and restocks work areas for the following shift as specified in departmental standards.
