Kosta Kourotsidis Appointed Cluster General Manager for Fairmont's Three UAE Properties

DUBAI, 05 May 2021 Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, the global luxury hotel group, is proud to announce the appointment of Kosta Kourotsidis as Cluster General Manager of the brand's three iconic UAE properties Dubai, Ajman and Fujairah. Previously General Manager of Fairmont Ajman, Kourotsidis'new role will see him further elevate the groups presence in the region, spearheading the operations, performance and strategic direction for all three hotels.

A seasoned hotelier with more than 25 years of experience across Germany, Ireland and the Middle East, his past roles include General Manager of The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence Spa in Bahrain, where he successfully managed a 12-month refurbishment of 246 rooms and 121 serviced apartments during his tenure

Prior to his current position, Kourotsidis was General Manager of Fairmont Ajman, known for its spectacular beachfront location along the shores of the Arabian Gulf. Joining the hotel in October 2018, he was instrumental in revitalising the propertys FB offerings, maintaining occupancy rates during 2020 while adhering to the highest safety measures, and guiding the hotel towards several milestones. These notable achievements included being the first Ajman hotel to reopen in line with government guidelines following lockdowns as well as becoming the first hotel in the Emirate to fully vaccinate all eligible (97%) colleagues.

With a total of 827 keys across Dubai, Ajman and Fujairah, as well as Fairmont Dubais offices and residences, Kourotsidis will be responsible for leading commercial strategies and further shaping the groups properties as prime staycation destinations in the UAE. As Fairmont Dubai continues to undergo an extensive refurbishment of its rooms and suites, Kourotsidis and his expertise will be essential in repositioning the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road property and its refreshed offerings. His innovative approach paired with an ongoing dedication for delivering service excellence will shine through as he transitions into his new role.
