Dubai College of Tourism Introduces Short Courses in Customer Service and Negotiation Skills
A series of short courses for aspiring industry professionals who are keen to pursue a career within Dubai’s thriving tourism industry.

Dubai, 18 September 2019: Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), part of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), has announced a series of short courses for aspiring industry professionals who are keen to pursue a career within Dubai’s thriving tourism industry. The interactive and immersive training courses have been designed to focus on negotiation service skills and customer service skills, and have been tailored to empower various individuals – whether they are working professionals, prospective school graduates or individuals who are looking to enhance their professional skills and rejoin the workforce.
Held at the contemporary, purpose-built college facility at Dubai Tourism’s headquarters, located in One Central within the dynamic Dubai World Trade Centre area, the short courses require no prerequisites, and welcome Emiratis and expatriates alike.
The Customer Service Skills Training will explore the strategic techniques that are crucial to providing professional services and effectively managing customer complaints. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to quickly determine customer needs, overcome customer service barriers and effectively respond to customer complaints. The training session will take place on Saturday, 21 September 2019 and is competitively priced at AED 300.
The Negotiation Service Skills Training, hosted on Saturday, 28 September 2019, will explore in-depth insights of negotiation as a skill, and will include strategic segments to allow attendees to better understand their negotiation counterpart. The course will empower attendees to exit the training with full confidence to negotiate in their day-to-day life. The one-day Negotiation Service Skills Training is priced at AED 500.
DCT is a vocational education college that is accredited by the Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA), allowing students to gain both academic knowledge and on-the-job experience. With a specially curated curriculum that meets the needs of both students and future employers, DCT courses move away from the traditional academic university programmes to provide a hands-on approach that is unrivalled within the industry.
