Zaid's recent recognition with the Next-Gen Digital Excellence Award at the IHG IMEA Finance & Commercial Trading Conference in Cairo is a reflects his relentless commitment to innovation and operational excellence. Over the past year, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to drive results, mentor future leaders, and implement sustainable financial practices.
Zaid has achieved exceptional audit results, including a flawless 100% in the first CSA Audit at Staybridge Suites Business Bay and 99% in the first CSA Audit at Holiday Inn Business Bay, reflecting strong compliance and control standards. He successfully led the flawless pre-opening delivery of Staybridge Suites Business Bay in March, ensuring smooth financial operations from day one with no major issues reported. Zaid is also a champion of diversity and inclusion, having built a finance team with a 50/50 gender balance and representation from 10 nationalities within a team of 11, fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration. Demonstrating sustainability leadership, he transitioned all approval processes to a fully digital, paperless workflow, significantly enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
His commitment to team development is evident through structured training to upskill his team, preparing his second-in-command for expanded responsibilities. Zaid provides regional support and expertise sharing by serving as a CSA assessor for other IHG properties, completing audits in two Oman hotels with another scheduled in Africa, actively supporting operational consistency across the region. He works closely with all departments to consistently meet monthly targets and deliver strong profitability to ownership, while maintaining healthy cash flow and ensuring zero pending payments to suppliers and stakeholders, demonstrating strong fiscal responsibility and trustworthiness.
