Scope:

The role of a Housekeeping Attendant is to clean, service, supply, and provide turndown service for guest rooms and provide a high level of comfort for guests at all times as well as cleaning the Public Areas including Public bathrooms, lobby areas, corridors, and all indoor and outdoor areas when required. A Housekeeping Attendant may also work in the Laundry department assisting with cleaning and sorting laundry for guests and Hotel laundry items.

Job Responsibility:

Clean, replenish, maintain and prepare guests' rooms as per each Hotels standard Meet and greet guests in a polite and friendly manner

Use and maintain all chemicals, supplies, and equipment carefully and as per each Hotels standard

Vacuum and mop floors, clean/disinfect guest bathrooms to a high standard and make guests' beds daily/change the bedding as required

Replace towels, soaps, and other guest room amenities

Shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture

Empty hotel room garbage bins daily

Move and position the cleaning trolley in the guest corridor as per each Hotels standard ensuring a safe and hazard-free area

Carry out and complete daily task control sheet as per each Hotels standard

Undertake the full sequence of services to clean a Hotel room

Ensure the complete number of credits to clean rooms per day is completed as per each Hotels standard

Report all malfunctioning tools, incidents, and guest room issues to the Supervisor on duty

Report all lost and found objects as per each Hotels standard

Report any unusual guest behaviors or activities as per each Hotel's standard

Chemical and Housekeeping machinery knowledge and experience

Safe manual handling techniques

Solid understanding of both the company/client policies and procedures

Occupational Health & Safety Card (UAE accreditation)

Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Standards in the UAE

Housekeeping sequence of service skills

Bedmaking skills

Cleaning skills

Laundry Skills

Must have a strong comprehension of English

Must have strong English-speaking skills

Must have strong interpersonal skills

Must hold strong customer service skills

Must be a strong team player

Must be able to build rapport with the customer

The candidate should preferably have previous experience in a similar role with reputed hospitality organizations.
