Banquet Manager

Having a passion for event operations, you will play an integral role in driving our banquet and events experience. Your versatility and broad skill set will be showcased at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

What you will be doing:

Managing and making key operational decisions in our Banquets department
Assisting in achieving financial targets through maximizing revenue and managing expenses and productivity
Creating unforgettable experiences for our guests
Providing consistent performance management of all banquet colleagues through effective communication, training, development and follow-up
Establish effective communcation and partnership with the Culinary and Conference Services departments
Motivate, coach and oversee a team of professional servers and bartenders

Your experience and skills include:

Strong knowledge in event planning and event execution
Proven experience in managing an efficient business operation
Possess strong administrative skills and knowledge of technology

Physical Requirements Include:

Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
