Job Description

This position involves food preparation and presentation with flair for breakfast, lunch for A la Carte, room service, functions and buffet service as well as maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.

The right candidate will demonstrate commitment to customer service for internal and external customers.

Work Experience

Your main duties will include:

- Ensures the punctual and prompt preparation of food in line with company's standards of quality, portioning and presentation for all the functions served by the kitchen;

- Ensures the proper set-up of the assigned section;

- Carry out the preparatory work in the kitchen: cleaning, slicing, garnitures, etc. in accordance with professional practices;

- Applies the opening and closing instructions issued by kitchen management in terms of safety, management of energy, product safety, fridge closing, etc.

- Ensures readiness and makes priorities in case of last minute changes to reservations and deals with ad hoc and special requests from guests;

- Maintains breakfast buffet, and assists guests with special requirements

- Accepts and prepares special breakfast orders, and ensures proper posting to guest folio

- Proactively manages stock in order to minimise waste and maximise quality;

- Ensures that all stock and tools are stored safely and hygienically;

- Preparation /assisting in preparation of conference lunch and breaks
