Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- To show utmost courtesy to all guests and help where ever the need arises
- To give guests directions as and when needed
- To tag all bags and coats properly and hand over to the guest the corresponding number
- To keep all bags out of sight and secure
- To return any items to guest only when corresponding ticket is handed in
- By end of shift all Lost and Found articles to be handed over to Security
- If any ticket loss occurs to make sure with help of Security, the matter is solved to full satisfaction of guest
- If and when needed to arrange with Valet to supply customer with jacket and tie to comply with dress code
- Act as Ambassador for hotel, interacting with all guests and patrons in a positive and engaging manner at every opportunity.
- To keep all wet areas (urinals, toilets, washbasins floor) spotlessly clean at all times
- To ensure constant supply of clean hand towels and other as required
- To monitor and replace all paper requirements in a timely manner
- To leave on display and refill agreed guest supplies
- To maintain stock of additional items to be available upon request
- To provide if and when needed shoe shine service
- To hand out towels to patrons and assist in other reasonable hygiene needs (eg turning on taps) as required.
To cooperate fully with all other operating departments in the hotel
What you will need to do this role: Essential: - 1-2 years serving or hosting experience in a luxury hospitality environment
- Passion for and understanding of 5 star hospitality and what it takes to deliver it
- Empathetic with a talent for building rapport, and reading each guest's desired level of interaction
- Quick thinking, resourceful and able to solve problems 'in the moment'
- Ability to remain calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced and changing environment
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Willing to work in rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English
- Rights to work in the UK
