Job Description For Commis Chef

Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel

An exciting career opportunity awaits in the heart of World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Surround yourself in the geological, biological & cultural wonderland as you embark on a rewarding journey to discovery the country's soul. Reporting to the Executive Chef with a supportive and stable team surrounding, your primary responsibility is ensuring a high level of guest service at all times across the hotel.

The successful applicant will possess:

Trade qualifications
Ensure consistent great food production
Perform tasks within a timely manner
Provide support to the Kitchen brigade
Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines
Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Availability to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
The ability to comply with all CHO directions regarding employment
Ability to have fun!
