Novotel Tainui Hamilton is the leading hotel in the Hamilton CBD. We are superbly located along the Waikato river with 217 rooms, 6 conference spaces and a restaurant and bar that offers guests an unforgettable experience.

We are excited to be looking for for a part-time Commis Chef who thrives in meeting and exceeding guest's expectations, offers flexibility, has a great attitude towards what can be an ever changing catering environment.

Work alongside our chefs and stewards to ensure that the highest of standards are maintained according to recipes. Run your own section and ensure service is smooth, complete food preparation and presentation as per guidelines. Working in a team to produce quality dishes and have a flexible approach in adapting to guests needs.

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Completed Level 4 in Professional Cookery is preferred
• A passion for food & culinary arts
• Team Player
• Time management and work efficiently
• Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Physically fit, reliable and punctual
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
