Job Description
As Sales Manager, you would take the lead in maximising revenue development for the Regional & National MICE market via a structured sales approach, as well as secure new Corporate, Agency and Group business, and manage our existing Corporate, Agency and Group accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify new business leads
- Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
- Drive and co-ordinate all sales activities to maximise revenue from existing accounts
- Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients
- Work with Accor in order to answer RFPs and further drive sales
- Develop and implement creative local marketing channels and opportunities
- Investigate new areas of business in terms of market development into new territories and market segments by working with the Revenue Manager, Events Coordinators and Head of Communications
- Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
- Work within current business strategies and recognising potential opportunities
- Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs
- Attend Sales events, as required
- Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads
- Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner
Work Experience - A minimum of 3 years hotel corporate sales experience
- Passionate about sales and achieving targets and objectives
- A good understanding of the local Milton Keynes market.
- Proven organizational skills, works well on your own, but able to report into multiple stakeholders.
- Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills and excellent Sales and Negotiation skills.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Proficient in IT applications including Opera Sales & Catering, Lanyon, ANAIS and Microsoft office.
- Good command of English Language both verbally and written.
