Job Description For Customer Billing Specialist, Shared Services

Accor Hotels is sourcing an organized and collaborative team player as part of our Shared Services Customer billing team, serving a collection of world class resorts in the Canadian Rockies, which consist of Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Fairmont Chateau Whistler. This role requires proficiency in Client accounts relations, billing processing and receivables related to the Tour and Wholesale market, while ensuring adherence to standards required by corporate policies.
This position can be based at one of the hotels in the region or remotely on a flexible work schedule, leveraging technology tools to access each hotel systems in order to facilitate Customer care relations, and fulfill the Billing and Collection cycle for the Tour and Wholesale market segment for all resorts in the region.

What you will be doing: As a regional shared services team member, the role works within the framework of the regional Finance team in conjunction with Operations and Reservation teams at each resort, to drive the Tour and Wholesale Market Client relations, Billing and Collection requirements.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the effective running of the Client Billing Operations by establishing strong business relations
- Embrace a business support culture by partnering with Hotel teams across the four hotels in the region, to achieve optimal operating performance for Tour and Wholesale market Clients as a primary contact, process deposits, billing and collection requirements by offering a consistent, professional, engaging and friendly service to Customers and Stakeholders
- Work on daily accounting routine to ensure optimal and effective daily workflow practice serving the portfolio needs regarding client customer care point of contact and billing transactions. More specifically, assist in the portfolio accounting and finance related activities which include Accounts Receivable (Tour and Wholesale segment, ad hoc billing requirements), Business analytics and systems management related to these transactions
- Be the point of contact for Tour and Wholesale key accounts in regards to Client Billing requirements and processing (Deposits, Billing, Collection and ongoing communication)
- Continuously analyze, and work on improving effectiveness of information flow to increase billing accuracy by leveraging technology tools, and propose a systematic workflow to improve client receivable turnaround time
- Work with technology tools and activities in conjunction with the systems team including computer hardware and office equipment in all aspects of software application, current and future
Your experience and skills include: - College degree in Business or Accounting or relevant experience and education
- Previous Hospitality Operations exposure and Accounts Receivable experience preferred
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office required (Excel in particular) and experience with hotel operating systems (Opera PMS, Silverware POS and/or Micros POS) an asset
- Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks to meet deadlines with quality results
