Primary responsibilities
- Presentation of Accor's Brands and selling Accor's unique know how,
- Review and analyze potential hotel conversations and new build opportunities;
- Identify potential projects, handle briefing of hotels / projects from senior members of hotel owning companies / developers / financiers / intermediaries;
- Inspect and evaluate hotels / projects and report on key findings with recommendations;
- Coordinate with an internal multidisciplinary team involved at different stages with a deal's financial viability, technical compliance and contract
- Prepare proposal and pitches (bilingual) and follow up;
- Conduct effective project analysis (hotel profit / loss pro forma) and perform sound sensitivity tests;
- Lead / participate in the contract negotiation and work closely with Accor's lawyers to amend contract (bilingual) as required;
- Lead in closing deals, with prior approval on deal structure;
- Conduct market intelligence and market competition survey;
- Interface with in-house Technical Services, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Finance experts as well as external real estate / building industry professionals;
- Maintain and build win-win relationship with new and existing owners.
Other Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as appropriate related to enhancing Accor's growth in China.
- Share leads for other Accor regions or product opportunities with appropriate personnel.
- Comply with Accor Greater China Corporate Office policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Experience
- At least undergraduate degree, preferably in hotel management or business administration;
- Must have experience of at least 3 years as a hotel developer in international hotel management company with track record of closing substantial hotel project deals; or relevant background in real estate;
- Financial and legal background / experience is a plus;
- Specifically, proven ability in preparing hotel P&L's and management contracts / legal documents (LOI, MOU, CA, NDA, etc.) is an integral part of the job and experience in this area would be highly relevant and valued;
- To be based in Accor Greater China Corporate Office in Shanghai, but requires frequent traveling around China.
