You represent Fairmont Century Plaza with enthusiasm and pride, providing exceptional service and attention for each guest you encounter. You are energetic and confident, and will encourage your teammates to achieve and be positive. You are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the best possible experience for your guests at all times. You are primarily responsible for the set-up and breakdown of Events meeting rooms in accordance with the Event Order (EO) and diagram specifications. You are also responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all meeting rooms, storage areas and equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, transport carts, easels and other Events equipment.

What you will be doing: - Offer professional, friendly and engaging service to all guests and responding timely to any special requests
- Performs a a team player in assisting Managers, Captains and fellow Heartists in exceeding guest satisfaction
- Sets event rooms with equipment such as tables, chairs, stages, risers, trashcans, water stations as detailed on each Event Order and diagram
- Maintains, stores and safeguards Events equipment and works quickly yet safely when a room set-up must be changed in a minimum amount of time
Your experience and skills include: - Ability to lift, carry and transport relatively heavy equipment
- A friendly, positive attitude with good communicational skills
- Stays calm under pressure, with an ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Pro-active decision making to anticipate guest and Heartist needs
