What you will be doing:

• Move stock from Receiving area to Stores and all kitchens
• Rotate, store products with date stamping
• Ensures accurate and prompt distribution of products to all departments
• Maintains accurate documentation of all issues for reporting purposes
• Fill requisitions inventory to maintain minimum/maximum pars
• Take physical inventories for daily reorder purposes, month-end reconciliation and reporting
• Use of the BirchStreet Procurement system for the reorder and issuing process
• Daily cleaning of all Stores
• Performs additional duties as required

Your experience and skills include:

• Organized and a great team player
• Ability to lift 20kg weights on a continual basis
• Some food knowledge and computer experience
• Complies with all Health and Safety regulations
• Candidate must be organized and accurate with attention to detail
• General knowledge of food and beverage specifications and quality standard

Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent to constant lifting and carrying up to 20kgs
• Frequent pushing/pulling carts with up to 250kg load
• Frequent ascending or descending stairs and ramps

For over 91 years, Fairmont Royal York has stood proudly as a Toronto landmark. When the hotel opened in 1929 it was the tallest building in the British Common Wealth and contained 1,048 rooms, a concert hall, library, extensive bakery, radio station and even a hospital. Today, this essential downtown landmark has completed a multi-million dollar transformation, reimagining its lobby, rooms, dining venues, event spaces, and Fairmont Gold - the property's exclusive hotel within a hotel luxury experience.
