AccorHotels are seeking a highly motivated, engaging and passionate Full-Time Breakfast Attendant to join our Team at Peppers Beacon Queenstown.

The Full-Time Breakfast Attendant will be part of our food and beverage operation which primarily services our recently renovated breakfast room 'The Galley', which is open 7 days a week. This is a self-supervised rewarding work environment requiring early starts but providing all afternoons/evenings off. This position provides a great platform to expand further within AccorHotels. Applicants must be team players who understand the quality and importance of exceptional food presentation along with food safety and quality service.

As a part of our energetic food & beverage brigade, you will work the breakfast shift and prepare high quality food items for the breakfast buffet for our 'Galley' breakfast room. You will also assist with room amenities along with lunch/conference food prep as required.

Essential to your role is basic kitchen duties such as conducting regular temperature checks, ensuring food safety and maintaining a safe and clean kitchen.

Preparation duties will encompass, but not limited to:

• In conjunction with the Breakfast Chef ensure the presentation and delivery of a Breakfast Buffet and/or la carte dining options (as required) for guests.
• Ensuring quality and presentation of breakfast buffet exceeds the expectations of our guests.
• Constantly drive improvement of buffet offering, presentation and enhancements.
• Compliance to food hygiene and occupational health and safety standards.
• Ensuring immaculate presentation of food itself and food service areas at all times.

Service duties will encompass, but not limited to:

• Ensuring the dining areas are ready prior to opening and throughout service.
• Providing exceptional service through your knowledge and passion for our products.
• Handling guest enquiries, taking accurate requests for guests.
• Maintaining stock of food and beverage items to ensure continuity of service.
• Keeping the presentation of our breakfast room area at a high level.
• Working alongside the kitchen team to maintain a cohesive service.
• This role requires a can-do attitude, great people skills and the ability to work within a diverse team.
• Duties will include, but not limited to Greeting and Seating guests, taking requests, clearing tables, resetting tables and supporting the day-to-day running of the breakfast operation.

• Willing go above and beyond for any service requests from our guests.
• Maintaining a polite and friendly manner, whilst committed to providing ongoing exceptional service.
• Naturally provide sincere and genuine service to all guests.
• Compliance to food hygiene and occupational health and safety standards.
• Ensuring immaculate presentation of food itself and food service areas at all times.

Successful Applicants will have:

• An ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of Breakfast service operations.
• Effective inter-personal and communication skills.
• Impeccable presentation and grooming.
• Occupational Health & Safety qualifications/skills (in food hygiene, chemical, and manual handling).

• Creative (unique and full of ideas, ability to solve difficult problems).
• Passion for providing an exceptional product to guests.
• Experience in food preparation and handling.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work sole charge and think on your feet.
• Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in a similar role and operational environment.
• Possess sound knowledge of food hygiene practices and HACCP.
• A positive attitude and enjoy working as a cohesive team.
• Flexibility to work a 7 day rotational roster, if required. Including week-ends and public holidays.
• Proven ability to work sole-charge.
• Be motivated to provide fantastic service, quality food and constantly evolve and strive for improvements.
