An exciting opportunity has become available for an IT POS Specialist, Pacific to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the implementation and training of new POS solutions, handling hardware refreshes of legacy POS equipment and providing ongoing support and proactive management of POS equipment, menus and interfaces.

This position will work closely with Hotel Food and Beverage teams to ensure that the system is functioning in the most efficient way, and assisting with any changes required to ensure continued service levels in F&B outlets across the group.

Getting to know the role and your responsibilities

• Effective planning and management of new POS installations, including:
  - POS Database configuration and optimization
  - Management of software installation packages
  - Menu configurations
  - Configuration of users and security groups
• Ongoing administration of POS software
• Maintain documentation, including systems administration and training documentation
• Maintain asset list for POS systems
• Manage proactive replacement cycle of hardware
• Identify to management any issues relating to ongoing support problems
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors to find the best POS solutions for Hotels

What we need from you

• 3 years experience in POS management, administration and training
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Symphony POS preferred
• Understanding of hotel systems advantageous
• Understanding of basic networking principles related to POS systems
• Understanding of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
• Ability to travel and drivers licence
