Journeyperson Plumber (Full Time Permanent)
As a Plumber at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.

Rate of Pay: $36.40 per hour.

What you will be doing: Reporting to the Chief Engineer and Assistant Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Responsible for all plumbing related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
- Responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all plumbing systems
- Preventative maintenance of equipment pertaining to plumbing
- Ensure all work done in the plumbing department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulations
- Ensure all power tools are in good and safe working conditions
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
- Train and assist the shift maintenance colleagues
- Assist other trades as they relate to plumbing maintenance
- Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
- Adhere to the hotel's vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include: - High school and/or technical school education required
- Provincial Journeyperson's certificate for Province of Alberta required
- Background plumbing experience or general knowledge of the trade required
- Level 1 Pool Certification as an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required ( Word, Excel & Power Point )
- Gas Fitting Ticket an asset
- Valid Alberta driver's license required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
