Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour
Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour is a 130 apartment building comprising of residential apartments and around 70 x 1-2 bedroom 5 star hotel rooms. We are currently seeking an experienced and hands on Maintenance Manager to join our team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for motivating and inspiring a small team in ensuring that our property presents and functions like a well-oiled machine. This role will require the ability to communicate effectively at all levels from the General Manager, to the guests, hotel team members, residents and strata committee members, as well as the various contractors working onsite.
Ensuring our guests have the best experience possible is what we strive for, and your role is integral to an enjoyable stay. A typical day will see you interacting with guests, residents, owners and contractors on a regular basis as you move about the property, finding a balance between being hands-on on the tools and completing the administrative tasks of your role. You will also work closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping departments to identify any maintenance issues throughout the building to ensure timely and cost effective resolutions.
WHO ARE YOU
To be successful in this role you will have a curious mindset and be adept at finding innovative and effective solutions. Technically, you will have a broad understanding of overall building maintenance and a willingness to be hands on, and may even have a trade background. You will ensure your success by your ability to coach and develop not only your own team, but through upskilling our Assistant Managers and other key staff to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
You take the initiative to solve problems creatively, and thrive on being able to coordinate multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. You will be highly organised, and experienced at developing and maintaining an effective preventative building maintenance schedule. You will also have a sound financial understanding of managing a profitable department, and familiarity with WHS legislation and compliance.
We are looking for a hands-on leader, preferably with previous experience within a strata environment. Y ou must have unlimited working rights in Australia, and be available to provide emergency support out of hours as our building operates 24/7.
