The Role:

This position is to assist the Front Office Manager in checking and balancing out work completed during the day for all outlets on a shift basis. Ensure the highest level of customer service is offered and maintained at all times to all guests. Provide efficient service for guest registration and departure. Maintain accurate guest accounts and provide accurate, helpful information. Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety.

The hotels have wonderful staff who truly live Accor's Heartist culture. This broad role works in conjunction with reservation teams to ensure quality service provided to guests.

It will be the Night Auditor's responsibility to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and to work collaboratively with all departments of the hotel to ensure customer satisfaction is consistently achieved.

The Candidate:

You will have experience or formal training in reception including working experience in a star class hotel or a fast paced working environment. Demonstrating an understanding of customer service skill, telephone manner & learning and development will be highly regarded.

An exceptional Night Auditor who is flexible, adaptable and thrives in a diverse environment. Ideally it is expected that you will have to ensure the lobby area is in health and safety standard under minimal supervision.

Must have worked in hospitality or customer service industry, demonstrating a passion for providing excellent service. Your ability to manage competing and changing priorities will see you succeed in the role.

Below will be some of the responsibilities and expectations:

• To ensure all guests are attended to promptly and efficiently in the most professional way and without delay.
• Check that details of regular guests are updated using Guest History.
• Ensure all diary events, flags and specials are actioned.
• Check and pass on all guest mail, messages and parcels promptly.
• To liaise closely with Housekeeping on information relating to rooms and lost property.
• To be fully aware of daily worksheet and ensure this form is used.
• To ensure guest registration forms are completed correctly, then the computer is updated accordingly.
• Ensure all account postings are accurate and necessary paperwork produced.
• Ensure an accurate cashiering balance is performed at the completion of shifts.
• Ensure security procedures are maintained according to policy.
• Ensure security boxes are maintained and run within security procedures.
• All complaints to be handled promptly and efficiently.
• Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions provided.
• Any other duties requested by the Front Office Manager.
• Ensure necessary handover of information is passed on to the oncoming shift.
• Ensure any failures or inconsistencies noticed during shift are reported to the Front Office Manager.
• Follow property procedures with respect to grooming, performance and conduct standards, occupational health and safety, emergency procedures and all other property policies and procedures as detailed in the employee handbook / department procedure manual / company policy manuals.
• Perform any other duties within the employee's range of competence as required by management.

This is a Casual position, working on roster basis from 11pm till 7am.
