Receiving Clerk

Reporting the to the Director of Purchasing, the Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the purchasing storeroom.

What you will be doing: - Mark all received items with the current date and stocks accordingly
- Maintain clean, safe, and efficient stocking and picking of all items stored in the storeroom including sweeping and mopping
- Keep supervisor informed of current stock levels
- Rotate items when stocking following 'first in, first out' standards.
- Maintain quality control by notifying the supervisor and keeping a log of all expired or unacceptable product
- Fill daily requisitions of food, non-food, and beverage products
- Deliver beverage and food orders to outlets
- Assist in departmental inventory of all stocked items in the storeroom
Your experience and skills include: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple interests
- Must be fluent and literate in English
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): - Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying a minimum of 80lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time (4-6 hours).
- Must be able to walk long distances and maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways or elevator
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, twist, turn, grasp, grip, push and pull, stack, and have the manual dexterity to operate light equipment and motor vehicles
