Relief Night Manager

What you will be doing: The Relief Night Manager works two shifts weekly fulfilling the Night Manager duties, and 3 shifts weekly as Night Guest Service Agent. They are also responsible for covering any vacation time the Night Manager takes
Night Manager Duties: - Supervise, support and assist as required all of the nightly operations of the hotel
- Work with Security to ensure the end of day process for the Front Office, Restaurant, Lounge and in Room Dining Systems as well as restore their systems for the next day's operations
- Collect and prepare all of the materials required for Accounting audit
- Practice and maintain Fairmont standards and procedures
- Work with Security to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests
- Prepare for and execute the end of day process for both the Front Office and Food & Beverage systems and restore systems for the next day's operations
- Collect and prepare all of the materials required for Accounting audits
Night Guest Service Agent Duties: - Ensure that the needs and expectations of our guests are met and exceeded
- Assist guests with registration and departure while delivering engaging service and complying with set Fairmont Standards
- Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
- Assist Night Manager in preparing and executing the end of day process for the hotel
- Work with the Night Manager and Security to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include: - Passion for Guest Service and Service focused personality is essential
- Previous experience in Night Audit/Front Office at a supervisory level
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
- Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and guest requests
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Should possess or seek certification in basic First Aid
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts and split shifts
- Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
