Job Description
Takes reservations over the phone, by email or internet, and handles all associated operations
Increases and optimises room sales in line with the brand and hotel's sales policy.
Follows up the administration of reservations very thoroughly, making check-in operations easier for the front desk team
Transforms a request for information into a potential reservation as soon as there is an opportunity
Presents the loyalty programme to customers; adapts the sales pitch to each customer
Counters any objections with a suitable and structured sales argument; passes on any questions that cannot be answered to his/her superior
Handles reservations by applying the various step-by-step processes defined by the Signature Worldwide formula
Enters reservation details precisely and correctly
Confirms the reservation; takes care over written communications
Be Proactive in Identifying and communicating all sales leads to the hotel's Sales Manager.
Be motivated & encouraged to maximize selling opportunities by adding customer value at every opportunity, promoting the properties facilities.
Being aware of VIPs and show rounds and communicating to the other departments.
Keeping up to date departmental, hotel and company activities through daily communications including customer feedback and taking part in carrying out appropriate actions for improvement
Deal with any complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Carry out any reasonable requests as required by a member of management.
Work Experience
Preferably has 1 or 2 years' experience as a Reservations Agent
Knowledge of reservation and distribution tools
Knowledge of the hospitality sector
Must be standards driven and detail-orientated.
Computer literate: desktop applications and internet
Must have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Fluent in the national language
A second language would be a plus
