Job Description
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Director, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the F&B shift, supporting the team within Hotel St Moritz signature restaurant Lombardi. You will be the go-to person for either breakfast service, or for evening service. You will be hands on, providing friendly and professional service while guiding and supporting the team.
Key Duties
- Oversee the smooth F&B service within the shift;
- Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests.
- Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive.
- Perform the tasks of order taking and maximise sales opportunities through knowledge of products. Ensure accuracy by repeating order(s) to the guests.
- Be familiar & confident with our Food & Beverage offering.
- Provide quality barista service and occasional support behind our bar
- Plan, prepare, and hand over effectively to next shift
- Replenish all consumables at the end of your shift
- Coordinate between different sections of the Food & Beverage department and between other departments to ensure that preparations for all conferences and other activities involving Food & Beverage have been made;
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of outlets, work areas, tableware, utensils and other materials and equipment used by Food & Beverage;

- Attend and actively participate in regular Food and Beverage meetings;
- Management and guidance of Food & Beverage team
- Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts and reports for your areas;
- Adherence to Emergency Communication procedures
- Adhere and ensure consistency of service delivery on Brand Standard guidelines
- Assist in the development of the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget;
- Facilitate the smooth running of the department through adequate supply of materials and equipment.
- Process stocktake timely and ensure procedures followed upon.
- Ensure that the Department establishes and maintains an ongoing quality improvement programme through use of Trust You and hotel guest questionnaires.
- Achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and preferably exceeds the expectations of guests.
- Attend to major operational problems and needs promptly and positively including customer complaints, enquiries and requests.
- Maintain staff focuses on 'the Customer's need', individualising and personalising service where possible;
- Encourage and maintain customer feedback regarding product and services in the Hotel. Listen to and take action on this feedback.
- Implement Accor training initiatives.
- Support in people management including recruitment, onboarding, training, rosters, & performance management for team members.
- Achieve effective communication by briefing and debriefing staff,
- Establish and take all practicable steps to maintain safe working conditions and practices.
- Ensure that dockets are written clearly and correctly so the cashier and kitchen can fulfil their duties effectively.
- Deliver orders promptly to the kitchen production area.
- Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance, ensure items are announced.
- Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy as per procedure manual.
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
- Take responsibility for designated section and station.
Full Time. 40 hours per week guaranteed. 2 positions. Includes weekend and public holiday work.
Work Experience - Minimum 2 years Food & Beverage waiting experience
