ROOMS PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - Full Time - Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa (Hotel)

• Actively prevent necessary repairs by examining all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems in guest rooms; in a safe, efficient and professional manner, as assigned by the Engineering department

  What you will be doing:
• Inspect all devices and hardware in guest rooms to check for faults or repairs. This includes, but is not limited to, TVs, air conditioning, refrigerators, power outlets, lighting, and plumbing
• Carry out basic repairs where possible and report more serious faults to the Engineering department
• Paint walls, floors, wood work and fixtures of establishment, as needed
• Resolve basic concerns in rooms and buildings, such as changing light bulbs, switching filters, unclogging drains, and replacing switches
• Promptly inform supervisor, and keep leadership team fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance to ensure corrective action and resolve
• Consistently complete maintenance log book by utilizing the rapid response system (Royal Service)Assist team members and department with additional tasks and projected as needed
  
  Your experience and skills include:
• One to five years of verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.) is preferred with proficiency in at least one major area
• Trade school training a plus
• Service focused personality and passion for hospitality
• Work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time
