Job Description

• To make regular rounds of assigned areas.
• To observe any abnormal activities on the part of associates or guests.
• To be alert non-guest or suspicious person wondering around hotel, report to Supervisor or Duty Manager.
• To assist the duty manager in inspecting the rooms of doubtful clients and assisting with suspected "walk outs" or "skippers" i.e. guests who attempt to leave without paying.
• To investigate any offense reported whilst on patrol and to ensure full details are made available to the police when necessary.
• To look out for keys left in doors and to ensure their safekeeping.
• To seize and deal with items found on patrol.
• To maintain a close watch for any fire of safety hazards.
• To provide security where required for cashiers, etc.
• To keep the Security posts neat and tidy at all times.
• Report when the Loading/Unloading Bays and surrounding areas need to be clean or tidy to Housekeeping Department.
• Performance any other duty requests Security Supervisor or Manager.

• Good personality
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Able to work on shift
• Knowledge of local security regulations is preferred
• Minimum of one year work experience in the hotel industry in Security
