Job Description
Primary Responsibilities - Supervises Personnel Section, ensuring compliance with all corporate, area and hotel policies and procedures; and current local and government regulations pertaining to employment practices. - Assists the Human Resources Manager, where appropriate, in the development and preparation of the Human Resources strategy in conjunction with Hotel's Strategic Plan, Marketing Plan and Goals Program - Ensures clear lines of communication exist to disseminate information affecting employer-employee relations, employee activates and hotel policies and programs. - Maintains effective communications at all levels of management and staff. - Maintains and updates files on employee records, legal documents and other Personnel matters, efficiently and confidentiality. - Ensures applicable laws, regulations, Accor policies and procedures and union agreements are followed in relation to Grievance and Disciplinary procedures. - Implements and monitors an effective employee relations and welfare programs in the hotel. - Ensures that all staff are aware of company benefits and make these available. - Reviews hotel benefit and compensation levels in comparison with service sector competitors and makes recommendations to ensure the hotel remains competitive within the local employment he market as appropriate. - Maintains Hotel disciplinary procedures, conducts disciplinary meetings and completes necessary documentation - Work with Human Resources Manager in the preparation and management of the Department's budget - Be responsible for duties of paymaster with following requirements: - Have excellent knowledge of all awards ensuring the correct rates of pay are entered into the system and paid to employee - Ensures that all the correct paperwork is received and correctly completed and authorized before the payroll run. - Ensures that all penalty rates are computed and paid to employees with the correct authorization for overtime. - Ensures the maintenance of employee records and personal details is up to date. - Ensures that all applications for leave are paid correctly and in a timely fashion. - Completes the pay run each fortnight and completes the labor analysis reports immediately after the pay run is completed. - Distributes the pay slips as per standards - Prepares and distributes group certificates for both employees and the Tax Department. - Ensures all social insurance benefit and worker's compensation payment are both paid to the employee and claimed from the insurer in a timely fashion. - Ensures that all applications to join funds are received and completed correctly and that payments to funds are made in a timely fashion. - Ensures that all payroll tax forms are completed and paid in a timely fashion
Work Experience
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- Proficient in Cadena system
Competencies
- 3 years of relevant experience or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
