What you will be doing:

• Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte, buffet menus, or individual dishes according to hotel recipes and standards
• Ensure proper labeling, dating and storage of all items in the kitchen
• Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
• Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Able to work in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
• Previous experience, minimum of one year, in the culinary field required
• Red Seal certification or international equivalent an asset
• Diploma/Certification in a culinary discipline an asset
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate and both can be completed upon the commencement of employment

Physicals aspects include but are not limited to:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
