Within the Accor Digital Factory, the Tribe Brands mission is to develop the best digital experiences of our brand websites with a booking and stay experience that differentiates it from the other channels.
The Tribe manages the digital experience of a large portfolio of brands (over 10) with some iconic brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, Orient Express, Sofitel, ... and is focused to develop revenues and boost local & augmented hospitality experience.
The main pillars of our strategy rely on:
- Deliver premium, intuitive, immersive user path by promoting hotel services to push upsell
- Provide a simplified experience with a mobile first strategy
- Offer a tailor-made digital experience cross brand by providing personalization offers and services
That's why we just launched a Brand Web Site (BWF) initiative to allow brands to launch & manage more efficiently their customer journey, through websites, personalization, marketing.
BWF is a combination of people and tools, that will help Brands to generate new revenues, express their identity and manage a personalized communication with their guests. It relies on the best-in-class Adobe Content Management Solutions (Adobe AEM).
Job Overview :
The Tech Tribe Lead role is the primary technical responsible for ensuring that we deliver value to the business.
You work collaboratively with your Tribe Lead peer to define the tribe's vision and strategy and align the right talents to deliver the best digital experiences.
You are a leader who is passionate about delivering differentiated value to business partners and business-oriented technology.
You work closely with Product Managers as projects are completed to ensure that the work delivers value to the business and influence outcomes where needed.
You will provide leadership to 2 dedicated Feature Teams (25 FTE) composed of Tech Leads, Developers, QA, Architects and Subject Matter experts, mainly composed of contractors with a mix between onshore and offshore staff.
Success will require in-depth understanding of the Digital Factory strategy and ability to manage relationships with Product leaders and Stakeholders from various departments within the business or IT.
This role will report to the Domain Leaders and will provide input to the long-term strategy and vision of Software Development.
You bring to this role strong technical acumen, outstanding leadership and collaboration skills, and a data driven, fact-based approach to decision making.
You are skilled at setting strategic direction informed by knowledge of Accor's digital ecosystem, interactions and insights with other Tribe Tech Leads in the Digital Factory, and assessments of data.
You accept being part of a broader team dedicated to communicate the mission and purpose of the tribe, and collaboratively resolve conflicting priorities.
Role and responsibilities
Collaboratively with the Tribe Lead, you will define the quarterly roadmap, drive successful delivery of Tribe OKRs and manage the Tribe capacity and budget
Accountable for high level of performance and quality of the product delivery.
Define and fosters engineering standards (security, architecture, quality, performance...) and improves engineering excellence in alignment with peers
Contribute to shape the Tribe backlog by enriching it with technical items
Encouraging and empowering the Feature Teams to deliver against the tribe's purpose and critical metrics
Understanding issues and key areas of risk within the domain and driving risk analysis to inform strategic outcomes of deliverables
Acting as servant leader to quickly solve FT problem and remove obstacles and link connections with other FTs where appropriate
Engaging regularly with FT leaders on FT output and providing the right level of feedback to enable FT alignment and autonomy
Coordinating and supplying to executive management, audit committee and board reporting and presentations
Qualifications:
Mastery of software development lifecycle and strong experience in Agile methodologies Good experience with CMS & DAM platforms with understanding of templates, components and authoring requirements principles. Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager solutions (CMS & DAM) is a plus. Extensive knowledge of digital websites ecosystem and best practices (SEO, A/B testing, web accessibility, analytics, web performance optimization...)
Proven experience working with 3rd Party providers (offshore) to maintain healthy partnerships and deliver operational excellence
Ability to work effectively in a team including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
Proactive and passionate about resolving pain points through great design
Sees value in iterative approach to design, strong sense of ownership of solution
A dedication and willingness towards continuous improvement and learning new skills and capabilities, and building a learning culture for the tribe
