The Candidate

As income auditor,you will join a committed finance team, driven with the intent of delivering 'FIVE-star' financial experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries.

We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think 'on your feet' during changing situations is also essential.

You'll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all the revenues are properly recorded and accounted for with the respective account codes
• Review all the night audit reports (i.e. Transportation Voucher, Miscellaneous Incomes, Laundry Revenue, Leisure Revenue, Telephone Revenue, Rooms Revenue and F&B Revenue) and ensure that all the revenue is properly and correctly recorded
• Prepare the Daily Revenue Report and send the same to the Executives and Heads of Department
• Prepare the Rebate, Paid Out and Refund, Duty Meal, Complimentary and entertainment summaries and forward it to DOF and General Manager for approval
• Review the Cash Drop Register and tally the cash drops and due backs with the PMS and POS systems
• Review the cashier overage/ shortages, if any
• Maintain the serial control of all the vouchers, gift coupons, recreation memberships and outlet checks
• Ensure that the internal control policies are in force and duly adhered to by all concerned departments
• Transfer the revenue from PMS to the General Ledger and prepare the revenue JV with the Trial balance
• Verify and post the Cash and Bank Transactions and prepare the General cashier JV
• Maintain the summary for the concessionaire's shop and ensure that the revenues are properly allocated
• Review the Travel Agent Commissions from GDS systems and pass it to Accounts Payables for payment after approval.
• Maintain and control the House Fund issued to different departments
• Maintain and control the Safe box keys and Credit Card Passwords issued to departments
• Conduct surprise cash float at least once a week, and at every months' end
• Verifying the Telecommunication, Laundry and SPA revenues and ensure that it reconciles with the POS and PMS systems
• Ensure the Rentals and other income revenues (Visa, transportation etc.) are recorded properly

• Check the Front office cashier summary and verify their transactions
• Check the cash, credit card, city ledger, paid out, refunds and other transactions and verify the necessary approvals and supporting documents
• Forward the city ledger folios to credit department after verifying the LPOs and other supporting documents
• Check the rate variance report and ensure that the room rates are accurate
• Check and ensure the complimentary room approvals have been received
• Verify the city ledger payment posted in Opera and the collection report prepared by the Account Receivable Clerk and tally it with the collection report
• Review the Hotel Foreign Exchange rates and maintain the exchange profit margins as per policy
• Review the Rooms and Banquets advance deposits and maintain the summary for the same
• Review the Business mix report and ensure the revenues are allocated to the right segments
• Print and check the high credit balance report, and report any high balances without proper deposits to the Supervisor and the Front Office Manager and follow up for further actions
• Review and Post the travel agent commission, which is prepared by the Credit department

• Check the F&B outlet revenues and tally the same with the POS report
• Tally the revenue in Micros POS with the PMS system
• Tally the Tips, Micros cash and Micros Credit Cards totals between Micros and Opera
• Check the allowances, discounts and complimentary checks during the day as well as necessary approvals
• Track the Banquet events and advance deposits and ensure that the rates are charged as per contract.
• Give full support in completion of external audits
• Duties and responsibilities apply for both the hotel and the residential units
• Achieve 94% and above in FIVE Internal Audits
• Complete any other ad HOC duties assigned by the DOF

• 2 - 5 years relevant experience in similar position in an International Hotel. Must be familiar in reconciling the hotels daily figures.
• Can oversee the audit revenues from all hotels generated revenues such as Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other Operated Departments.
• Can produce the Daily Revenue Report using the hotel system accurately after verifying the posting of day of reporting.
• Knowledge in Opera & Micros, i.e., Opera rate codes, package allocations, reservations, cashiering, and night audit sequence.
• Well versed in Income Auditing, Front office operations, night auditing and outlet cashiering.
• An analytical, pragmatic thinker with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Result oriented, able to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a fair, consistent set of standards.
• Must be proactive and flexible.
• Must be highly proficient in computer and software skills.
• Good communications skills and command on English
