They are cultured yet trendy hosts with an innate ability to anticipate guests' needs by being in the right place at the right time and delivering a hospitality experience that goes above and beyond - crafting exciting memories for our guests that last a lifetime.

The Candidate

As Reservations Manager,you will join a committedteam, driven with the intent of delivering 'FIVE-star' experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries.

We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think 'on your feet' during changing situations is also essential.

You'll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond positively to sales inquiries in order to develop future sales leads
• Train team to respond to all customers in a highly professional manner and make sure that all reservations are completed accurately and to the guest's expectation
• Provide prompt and efficient service while maintaining FIVE standards
• Ensure all FIVE's policies and procedures are understood and adhered to, at all times
• Train team to maintain a high level of guest telephone contact skills while promoting the hotel through good selling and communication skills
• To be fully conversant with all business segments (rates, offers, promotions) and an ability to handle all tasks linked to the reservations department
• Train team to follow the department standards (SOP) and achieve the targeted results i.e., quality calls, response time, number of calls and emails handled, accuracy, maintaining reservations records, following all safety standards
• To maximize room revenues, and create additional revenue, by utilizing effective upselling techniques and following the strategies in place
• Identify Sales opportunities through individuals, Corporate Accounts, Wholesalers, and Travel Management Companies
• Train team to answer internal and external phone calls and ensure positive outcomes for all guest queries and room reservation requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure smooth running of the reservations department, where all aspects of the guest journey and experience are delivered to the highest level
• Supervise the team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest inquiries and problem resolution
• Take responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
• Deliver on departmental plans and objectives, where hotel initiatives & targets are achieved
• Collaborate with their immediate report, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships whilst promoting the company culture and values.

• Previous Reservation Manager experience of 4-6 years in a luxury hotel is mandatory
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory, German will be a plus
• Proficiency in multiple languages is a bonus
