Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist to join our growing Central Sales Management department, who will focus on establishing and executing Transient sales strategy for a portfolio of Select & Full Service hotels as well as eventually managing a team of Transient Specialists. The Role
The Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist role requires a candidate who has demonstrated, through performance, a thorough understanding and competence in the Transient business segment, Hyatt systems, and the hotel/business travel industry. The Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist will be responsible for leading market and account research to evaluate a hotel's opportunities, while also executing business development techniques to grow market share across Transient accounts. The Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing the Transient RFP process on behalf of a portfolio of hotels. This candidate will be expected to engage business travelers by leveraging World of Hyatt tools to build loyalty. As the program grows, this person will coordinate a team of Transient Specialists to deliver these services as well. The Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist must be able to coach team members to deliver high performance. This person will be responsible for leading a team and influencing on-property and above-property leadership.
The Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist will have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing. Must possess exceptional negotiating skills. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts. They must be proficient in Agency360 and Demand360. Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
•A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
•Refined verbal and written communication skills
•Strong organization and presentation skills
•Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
•Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
•A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
•Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Envision, Opera, and Cvent
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets.
•Knowledge of TravelClick products (Agency360 and Demand360)
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor's degree
•Previous Hyatt Sales experience
•Previous managerial experience
•Previous Transient Sales Manager experience
