The Cook III will direct and oversee there designated station/s, check quality of finished food products, utilize proper knife skills, and will ensure efficient preparation methods and procedures through ultimate ownership. Additionally, this position will actively handle the preparation of braised food, grilling, broiling, blanching, cooking, and sauté items for their station and assist others in production as well. Responsibilities include supporting training needs for new hires, IE station training, familiarizing new associates of standard practices, additionally, handle and communicate business matters in a responsive manner. Additional responsibilities include assisting with daily specials, ensuring the proper amount for needed food preparation, receiving products from the storeroom, and utilizing the proper storage procedures. This position reports directly to the Cook/Chef de Cuisine and assists them in supporting fellow culinary colleagues at all cook level positions. This position will rotate through the different areas of the kitchen such as Garde Manger, Pastry, Banquet and Restaurant. It is a great opportunity to learn and get exposure to the different areas of the Culinary Operation in the Hospitality Industry. Ideal candidate must be passionate & excited about food with a desire to pursue leadership roles in the culinary profession.
