The Director, Distribution will lead and partner on the execution of the distribution strategy across the distribution landscape, including traditional B2B channels that are operating across multiple segments. The Director will lead the new distribution initiatives, including product, channels, and performance optimization. This individual should have in-depth experience in distribution account management, project management, analytics, and revenue management, and deliver on execution, innovation, and optimization.
Negotiate and implement distribution terms and conditions that drive incremental value for properties and overall organization, while protecting the brand and reducing risk of disruptive distribution.
Develop a forward-looking view of measuring performance of distribution mix to include TMC/consortia/retail channels and establish a process for understanding and communicating future risk and opportunity.
Collaborate effectively at the regional and hotel level to ensure appropriate channel management and business mix. Support hotels in growth of ADRs and growth (or containment) of revenues from these channels.
Incorporate and expand on current distribution strategy framework, programs, and standard operating procedures to incorporate new distribution channels as applicable. Work with regional revenue management and the global distribution teams to understand the growth (or decline) of distribution business and the contributing factors. Collaborate effectively at the regional and hotel level to ensure appropriate channel management / business mix.
Continuously audit and work with hotels to redefine their distribution mix and ensure it contributes to optimal profitability. Conduct contract audits and manage contract compliance for both hotels and customers, ensuring global standards are met. Support hotels in growth of ADRs and growth (or containment) of revenues from these channels.
Liaise with Distribution Services on identifying opportunities to integrate new channels into existing connectivity roadmap.
Development of the global strategy for retail agency business, including collaboration on GDS partnerships. Develop and oversee the successful launch of any new product and marketing initiatives via the GDS, including the creation of playbooks outlining clear definition of KPIs
Create a scalable and comprehensive hotel distribution playbook for activation of new hotels within the Americas. Be the go-to person for regional sales and revenue management leads in all aspects of distribution strategy. Assist with new openings to ensure sound distribution principles are implemented from the start.
Support strategies that align key company objectives, including rate parity and compliance programs.
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.

Minimum 10 years' experience in Distribution, Revenue Management, or 3rd party account management, preferably within the travel and tourism sector
Knowledge of PMS, RMS and CRS systems a plus
Excellent communication skills, able to develop relationships and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, economics, hospitality management, or analytics
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Superior Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills required
