What does the ROLE entail?

• Responsible for the set-up and tear-down processes of all event functions at Hyatt
• This position manages the Hyatt event space and works closely with the Events and Event Services departments to ensure exceptional guest service results
• Responsibilities also include the oversight, motivation and coaching of the Event Set-Up colleagues
• Organize the day-to-day operations of the department
• This position is very hands on and requires continuous walking, standing, and lifting of tables, chairs, and other event related equipment
• Promote an atmosphere that ensures strong guest satisfaction and colleague engagement
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to motivate and coach a team of 10
• Maintain excellent communication and coordination with all hotel departments

Qualifications
Your EXPERIENCE:

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel event setting or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Unafraid of guest service related tasks, projects and responsibilities
• Must possess excellent organization, interpersonal, time management, and administrative skills
• A fun and energized person with a creative mindset
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
