Position Summary:
At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Valet to join our team. This role is essential to supporting Room Attendants and ensuring that guest rooms are prepared to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing linen logistics, delivering special guest requests, and contributing to a seamless guest experience that aims to WOW. Your efforts will directly impact guest satisfaction and the overall efficiency of the Housekeeping operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Quality Excellence
- Handle soiled linen and transport it to the laundry following hotel standards.
- Distribute clean linen and supplies to the floors according to the hotel's procedures.
- Prepare housekeeping trolleys with linen, cleaning products, amenities, and supplies based on daily occupancy.
- Deliver and manage special guest requests such as extra beds, cribs, or other room items.
- Support deep cleaning projects in guest rooms and public areas when required (e.g., wood, ceilings, marble, windows).
- Follow checklists and operational standards to ensure quality service.
- Ensure that all tasks reflect Hyatt's service philosophy and brand image.
- Resolve or escalate guest requests and complaints efficiently and follow up as needed.
- Contribute to achieving department satisfaction goals (IS & IR) and proactively suggest improvements.
Efficiency & Operational Excellence- Use cleaning products responsibly and according to the recommended doses.
- Handle tools and linen with care, ensuring proper maintenance and storage.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in storage areas, pantries, and shared spaces.
- Monitor linen stock levels, report discrepancies, and verify laundry deliveries.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged materials to supervisors.
- Identify opportunities to optimize internal procedures and share suggestions with the team.
Teamwork & Hyatt Culture- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and mutual support.
- Collaborate actively with Housekeeping colleagues and other hotel departments.
- Participate in team meetings with a constructive mindset.
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards in daily activities and encourage others to do the same.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in the department and the hotel overall.
